However, in that department I did have a criticism. The romance aspect of the story was wonderful as always and, like with Anna and the French Kiss, managed to capture the feeling of being in love for the first time accurately. Reappearances from Anna and Etienne from the first book also give the book a good base, reminding the reader that the books are linked while the ending of the book sets up a possible link between this book and the last book in the series Isla and the Happily Ever After with an opportunity to see characters old and new interact once more. Her passion for dressmaking and costumes make for a refreshing heroine while Cricket Bell and his inventing again make for another unique and interesting character. Stephanie Perkins success once again in creating vibrant characters with Lola being perhaps one of the most vibrant characters ever written.
