![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Now I have really and truly enjoyed the authors' presented narrative, the textual flow of this inspiring story it is both engaging and informative but fortunately without being neither too melodramatic nor drily factual. Naden's Ron's Big Mission, a fictionalised account of a real incident in space shuttle astronaut Ron McNair's childhood (Ron McNair was one of the seven astronauts who lost their lives in the 1986 Challenger explosion), shows how a simple and more importantly how a non-violent act of civil protest and courage against racially discriminatory regulations (and by a nine year old child at that) can challenge racist attitudes, can change unjust and discriminatory rules and regulations for the better. ![]() ![]() In this book, Roland finds multiple doors to New York into different time periods, and he goes on little adventures through each door. We meet Eddie Dean and Susannah, Roland gets his fingers bitten off by a “lobstrosity” and the stakes never let up. It’s also my favorite Stephen King novel of all time. Not only is The Drawing of the Three my favorite Dark Tower novel. The Drawing of the Three (Dark Tower Book #2) Have you ever heard of peak Nic Cage? Well, this is peak Stephen King, and by God. Because this is by far the craziest book in the series, and for that reason, I adore it. And Stephen King also throws himself in the story for good measure, because why not?īut while a lot of fans can’t stand how crazy this story got, it actually intrigued me all the more for how audacious it all was. I remember reading this book on a plane and rubbing my head wondering if I was reading all of this correctly. Oh, and they also battle with lightsabers and the snitches from Harry Potter. ![]() ![]() And not just any robots, but robots that look like Dr. And then Roland and his Ka-tet fight the Wolves, but they’re not really wolves at all. Okay, so this is usually the book where a lot of readers just totally give up on the series, and I get it. ![]() ![]() They need her active now.īetween her cover as a high school girl-juggling a homecoming dance, history reports, and an increasingly suspicious boyfriend-and her mission in this high-stakes spy game, the boundaries of her two lives are beginning to blur.
